Innovation, Opportunity and Sustainability Take Centre Stage
at the Mohill Enterprise Centre Open Day 2026
On Thursday, March 19th, Mohill Enterprise Centre will be opening its doors to the wider community to discover the expanding opportunities in education, enterprise and sustainable living during our Open Day 2026
Running from 2pm to 8pm – Mohill (N41 Y4C0), the event is set to host a number of engaging presentations and demonstrations, covering education guidance, innovation, practical supports for individuals and businesses, and sustainable households.
A Gateway to Upskilling and Future Careers – 2:00pm to 5:00pm
Education and training will feature strongly throughout this portion of the day, with visitors encouraged to meet tutors and learners, explore course offerings such as the new exciting course in Digital Skills & AI starting in April, and gain insight into flexible upskilling pathways through MSLETB.
Additionally, in collaboration with national and regional partners including XRHUB Sligo, Digital Fabrication Lab and Multimedia Lab (Ulster University), MEC will host interactive workshops showcasing cutting-edge developments in digital innovation and technologies.
From robotics and artificial intelligence to advanced drone technology and multimedia production, attendees will experience first-hand how emerging technologies are shaping education and enterprise. Guidance on learning progression routes will also be available through the Leitrim Adult Educational Guidance Service, offering clear pathways into further and higher education.
Practical Supports for Homes and Businesses – 5:00pm to 8:00pm
As the day progresses into the evening, the spotlight will turn to enterprise growth and sustainable living supports. Specialists will be available to provide tailored advice on:
- Home retrofitting grants and energy upgrades
- Solar energy generation for domestic properties and farms
- Business mentoring, start-up supports and expansion strategies
These services reflect MEC’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the local community while being on the forefront of environmental sustainability.
