Connected Hubs Members Platform – Terms of Use | Effective Date: 6 October 2025
1. Who We Are
The Connected Hubs Members Platform (the “Platform”) is operated by the Western Development Commission (“WDC”, “we”, “us”) on behalf of the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht.
The Platform supports members, hub managers, and staff from across Ireland’s national hubs network to connect, collaborate, and share learning opportunities.

2. Acceptance of These Terms
By using the Platform, you confirm that you accept these Terms of Use (the “Terms”) and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
We recommend printing or saving a copy of these Terms for future reference.

It does not infringe the rights of others.

By posting content, you grant the WDC a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and share your content in connection with the Platform.
User-generated content is not verified or endorsed by the WDC. The views expressed belong to the individual contributors.
8. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all materials on the Platform – including text, images, graphics, and design – are owned by or licensed to the Western Development Commission.
You may view and print material for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not copy, modify, distribute, or reuse content without permission.
9. Links to Other Websites
The Platform may contain links to external websites or resources provided by third parties. These are included for convenience only. The WDC has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content or operation of third-party sites.
10. Reliance on Information
Information on the Platform is provided for general community and informational purposes. While we aim to ensure accuracy, we do not guarantee that all information is current, complete, or error-free.
Users should independently verify any details before acting upon them.
11. Security and Viruses
We take reasonable steps to keep the Platform secure but do not guarantee it will always be free from bugs, viruses, or disruptions.
You should use your own virus protection software and avoid introducing malware or harmful content. Any misuse of the Platform may result in suspension or legal action.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the WDC will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform or from reliance on its content.
This includes, without limitation:

Reputational damage; or
Any indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, negligence resulting in personal injury, or any other matter that cannot be excluded under Irish law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Platform.

These Terms and any related non-contractual obligations are governed by Irish law.
The Irish courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising from or connected with these Terms.
