Padel Fever Takes Hold in Laois with New Sports Facility Launch

Padel has officially arrived in Laois, bringing fresh energy to the county’s sporting scene. A new facility in Mountrath has opened its doors, introducing locals to one of the world’s fastest-growing racket sports. The launch, led by Padel100, features modern courts and a fitness space designed to welcome players of all levels.

The opening event invited the community to try padel firsthand, highlighting its accessibility, social nature, and fast-paced appeal. Combining elements of tennis and squash, the sport is easy to pick up and ideal for all ages.

This new development marks an exciting step for Laois, positioning it at the heart of Ireland’s growing padel movement and encouraging more people to get active.
