IN-PERSON: Rebooting the Galway Maker Space

We are hosting an open discussion for any interested party on starting a Maker Space in Galway City Center.
We want a Community Maker Space in Galway, and we need your help to see if we can make it happen. Inspired by fond memories of 091 labs, helping out with the Repair Cafe, and our trip to the Open Hardware Summit 2026 in Berlin last month, we’re looking to gauge interest from makers, crafters, and those who would like to learn new skills.
If you’ve got experiences running Maker Spaces, being a part of one, or you just want someplace cool to print your custom minis and meet cool people, come along to the Portershed a Dó on June 11th, 6:30-8pm.
