IN-PERSON: The Autumn Reset: Free Repair Café in Clondalkin

ACE Enterprise Park, Clondalkin, Dublin

Thursday, 17 September | 12PM – 4PM

Why replace it when you can repair it? A free drop-in Repair Café at Ace Enterprise Park with expert support from Tog Hackerspace.

The Autumn Reset is a two-part circular economy initiative from Ace Enterprise Park, bringing donation, repair and reuse to South Dublin this September.

This listing is for Day One: a hands-on Repair Café, delivered in partnership with fellow local social enterprise Tog Hackerspace.

Bring along broken or worn household items and work alongside skilled repairers to fix them on the spot. The session opens with a live demonstration on repairing and upcycling common household items at 12pm, followed by hands-on support from our team of volunteers. We’re aiming to repair over 60 items across the afternoon. Guests are welcome to come and go throughout the session!

This event is FREE and open to everyone, whether you’re repairing something specific or just curious to learn. No prior experience necessary.

What You Can Bring to Repair

Our volunteers can help with small household repairs, including:

🔌 Small electrical appliances
💡 Lamps
🧸 Electronic toys
🍳 Kitchen gadgets
📱 Handheld devices

If you have a larger project in mind, come along anyway! Our volunteers are happy to give advice even where we can’t complete a repair on the day.

Tea, coffee and biscuits provided for guests throughout the day.

Good to Know Before You Go

Looking to clear out the rest of the house too? Join us on Friday, 18th September for our Community Clothing Swap.

Clothing, books, and plant donations will be collected in the days beforehand: drop in anytime between 9am and 5pm, Monday 14th September to Thursday 17th September, at Ace Enterprise Park (D22 P6E8).

Each item you donate earns you a ticket, which you can bring back and use to shop for free at Friday’s Swap event.
