What began on September 19th during the launch of the partnership with CoWorkLand on their national Coworking Action Day  CoWorkLandPartie at the Coworking Space in Röcknitz recently found a fitting continuation in Leipzig.

Röcknitz was chosen because it already has a connection to Ireland through the LEADER program, specifically to rural Donegal. When I then presented the partnership with Connected Hubs, there was a lot of talk about also introducing the municipality where the coworking space is located, as well as key players in the region. One of these players is undoubtedly the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, which in turn works closely with the German Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (BVMW). I was delighted to accept a joint invitation from the BVMW and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Leipzig to discuss possibilities for connecting clusters in Leipzig with similar clusters in Ireland. Creative and MedTech clusters can also be found in Galway, where I will be stopping in November as part of my next Connected Hubs Tour. Incidentally, a first meeting with the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce is also planned. They will support the partnership.

Finally, there was also an interesting meeting at “Leipzig Bay” – see https://coworkationers.com/locations/ – which is run by the CoWorkLand partner Project Bay. There were several points of reference to Ireland.
