Launch of “Powered by AI: Unlocking SME Growth in the West” skills report
A major new study exploring how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the West of Ireland are engaging with Artificial Intelligence will be launched next month in Galway.
The report, Powered by AI: Unlocking SME Growth in the West, is a regional initiative led by itag/EMBRAISME and Regional Skills West, in partnership with the Western Development Commission and Atlantic Technological University. It provides key insights into the current state of AI adoption among SMEs, the challenges they face, and the opportunities ahead. It will offer practical recommendations to guide future training, funding, and policy supports.
The official launch event will take place on Tuesday, 2 December, at 2pm in the Galway Bay Hotel, Galway. Attendees will gain early access to the report’s findings, hear from SMEs and AI experts, and network with regional stakeholders driving digital transformation.
The event aims to bring together policymakers, educators, industry leaders, and SME advocates to strengthen AI readiness and support innovation across the region.
